Pet’s benefit your health in a variety of ways. Pets provide a way to relieve stress,
provide companionship and are great work out partners. According to the National Center for
Infectious Diseases (CDC), pets are a great way to decrease blood pressure, lower
cholesterol levels and feelings of loneliness. Pets can help to increase exercise and
socialization opportunities. Recent studies have found that by owning a cat or dog,
depression can be reduced since they provide companionship and a sense of security.
